Eye Allergies

There are times where you won’t always be able to see what is bothering your body, but one particular time when you most certainly will be able to is when you are suffering from eye allergies! While these specific types of allergies are most usually not life threatening in any way, they have still got to be among the more annoying things you might have to deal with. That is why it is important to learn more about them in order to help you identify them as early as possible and seek out the best solution possible to help you mitigate those annoying symptoms that you have to deal with.

One of the most common forms of these allergies that affect the eyes is allergy conjunctivitis. However, most of you most likely know this form of allergy as the infamous Pink Eye, the allergic reaction that causes the eyes to become completely pinks and to take on an almost cartoon like look.

Fortunately, conjunctivitis is completely treatable and it is actually one of the most common eye conditions in both children and adults. This condition features an inflammation of the conjunctiva which are the tissue that line the inside of the eyelid (they are present to help keep the eyelid and eyeball moist and to help catch dust and debris particles).

Some of the more common causes of this condition are viruses, bacteria, irritating substances (such as dirt, mucus, and pool chlorine), sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), or allergens (substances that cause allergies).
